inMotion Welcomes New Chief Creative Officer to Production Team
inMotion is thrilled to announce that award-winning director Matt West will be joining its team. Matt brings nearly 15 years of production experience. As Chief Creative Officer at inMotion, Matt will work closely with Sarah Fodey, Vice President and Senior Producer, to spearhead the company’s burgeoning film and television division while intensifying its legacy of providing highly effective creative services to a long list of corporate and government clients.
“I’ve loved the freelance life,” says Matt. “And I always knew it would take a lot for me to give it up. I’ve been watching inMotion closely over the last few years, and I am excited with the accomplishments and potential here. It feels like we are all gaining something; potential, value and a path to our creative goals. In the end, it was really an easy decision.”
inMotion President & CEO Pat McGowan says that the decision was also an easy one from his perspective. “Matt is the real deal and we are very excited to have him bring his ideas to inMotion and grow them within our expanding universe. Matt’s impact will be felt in all of our various divisions and locations and I am anticipating great things.”
“I’m eager to return to the collaborative relationship that Matt and I began years ago,” said Sarah Fodey. “Matt’s talent is in taking the germ of an idea and not stopping until it has exceeded its fullest potential, whether as the writer of a new broadcast property, the director of a narrative film, or the creative head of a corporate video.”
Matt West’s long list of accomplishments includes direction and editing on more than 500 television episodes aired in over 80 countries, including the Gemini-nominated shows Licence to Grill (Knight Enterprises) and All For Nothing (Mountain Road Productions). He has also directed two award-winning short films, The Funeral… Again and The Kissing Booth, winner of 2012’s Digi60 Second Spring Competition’s Best Invited Filmmaker Award.
